What is required in a photo to guarantee best results? Just keep in mind:
THE BETTER THE PHOTO THE BETTER THE RESULT.
Use the Example Photo on this page as a guide and see how it compares to yours. Ask yourself, is my photo:

SHARP and CLEAR
A good photo allows me to see the shape of everything as clearly as possible. So out of focus pics or photos that have been reduced in resolution are not ideal. As you can see in the photo on this page I can clearly see the shape of the eyes, eyebrows, mouth, gums and teeth etc. Is that true of your reference photo?

WELL LIT
Note that in the Example Photo that there is even light all across the face. There are no dark shadows on any part of the face. This is particularly important when ordering color caricatures. How’s your pic?

CURRENT HAIRSTYLE
You’d be surprised how much difference hair styles can make in a drawing. Thats why some people use wigs to disguise themselves. So a current or typical hairstyle is always best.

BIG SMILES
Unless you’re trying to tell someone they need to lighten up, choose a photo with a big smile.

NOT CROPPED or with HATS or SUNGLASSES
Sounds kinda obvious that if I cant see it I can’t draw it. But with so many selfies etc. going around you’d be surprised how many photos are missing ears, tops and/or sides of heads etc. Look at the Example Photo see how there are no bits missing? Hows you photo?

The more your photo ticks the boxes the more likely I am able to guarantee 5 Star results.
